We are pleased to announce that the 24th annual Hemp Industries Association conference will be hosted in Lexington, Kentucky in partnership with the American Society of Agronomy, Crop Science Society of America and University of Kentucky.  Registration will open May 1st. Attention Ag Scholars to learn more about submitting a poster for presentation, scroll to bottom.

The American Society of Agronomy (ASA) is a progressive international scientific and professional society that empowers scientists, educators, and practitioners in developing, disseminating, and applying agronomic solutions to feed and sustain the world. Based in Madison, WI, ASA is the professional home for 8,000+ members and 14,000+ certified professionals dedicated to advancing the field of agronomy.

The Crop Science Society of America (CSSA) is a progressive international scientific society that fosters the mission of plant science for a better world. Based in Madison, WI, and founded in 1956, CSSA is the professional home for 5,000+ members dedicated to advancing the field of crop science.

The University of Kentucky College of Agriculture, Food and Environment (UK) is a land-grant institution and is one of the leading programs for industrial hemp research in the country. UK’s research, teaching, and extension programs are part of a national system that maintains a statewide presence and links local, state, and global issues.

What to expect:

This year’s event will be held at the Lexington Convention Center connected to the Hyatt Hotel. The exhibit hall will be open to the public and exhibitors will be able to retail on site.

Submit a Poster

The HIA Meeting Poster Session is open to anyone to display a poster complimenting the programming: industry, policy, and the science of industrial hemp.  Posters only, no presentation, and posters will be up the duration of the conference.  We ask that posters be staffed during the active hours of the exhibit area during the days of Sunday, September 10th and Monday, September 11th (exact times to be announced).

Directions on how to proceed:
You will need to either be a member of ASA, CSSA, or SSSA, or register as a guest, creating a username and password.  Once logged in, you will be led to the Poster Abstract submission.  Please follow the steps, including paying the $50 submission fee, and you will receive a confirmation once submitted.  You will also be emailed more information closer to the event.  Should you have any questions about the poster session in the meantime, please contact 
jpluemer@sciencesocieties.org. 

Note that the number of posters is limited, so submit soon to ensure your spot!  After submitting, be sure to then register for the Meeting (Registration opens May 1.)
